Did a search, cound't see any threads for it.

So, I am about to head to town in a hour or so to spend a little money on a new game, nothing fancy, just a fun pre owned to keep me entertained :)

From reviews of this, its mixed opinions, some praise it, some hate it, seems more of a platformer than an action game :(

Loved the old ones, thought anyone?

I had it on rental earlier in the year. Didn't get a chance to complete it, but even playing it for a few hours every day for a couple of days saw me tearing through it at an astonishing rate, so it doesn't seem like a particularly long game. Graphically it's very nice, but the levels lack variety, as do the enemies. Combat isn't a particularly large element of it either unlike the previous games, it tends to happen occasionally only at specific points and you can often avoid the enemy if you're quick. The Prince is an annoying, arrogant little *ahem* too, made all the worse by the fact that you can't actually kill him.

It's not bad, but don't pay too much for it.

I wouldn't recommend it to be honest. It looks gorgeous but for me it was too on rails, you could string together sweeping moves across quite a bit of landscape but after you realise you can virtually play through these sections pressing one button it takes away the immersion. Its biggest flaw however is that it was just a copy and paste exercise. You do exactly the same thing for all 20 odd "levels". It got boring for me after the first 5 or so.

I LOVE IT. Although I hate that the same voice actor who did Nathan Drake got the job as the Prince. I always see Nathan in my mind now. Obviously not any consequence to those who haven't played Uncharted first.

The combat is different, you do only fight one enemy at a time but it's quite satisfying. The jumping is much more hand-held but the sequences can be spectacular. If you liked the previous Sands of Time trilogy, I'm sure you'll love this.

And I like the way you can't die, it gives you freedom to try out all sorts of things to get those 1001 light seeds.

i found this similar to Assassins creed in that i loved it at first but after a couple of hours was bored. Its a bit lazy with far to much repetition.

You will probably be able to get it for under a tenner though so i would say probably worth it.

Loved it to bits, played it to completion then bought the expansion and did that as well.

Brilliant game.

It does get marmite reviews from players, you either love it or you hate it.

This. Coming to play this game after really enjoying The Sand of Time left me bitterly disappointed. It had none of the charm, character, pacing or sense of progression from SoT and after you'd 'unlocked' one area you basically did the same thing over and over for another half dozen hours? No thanks.

If you've got a 360 pick up Sands of Time for the original xbox. It's backwards compatible and the far better game IMO.

I love it as well:D

Fun & undemanding platform game. Looks beautiful. To me its almost perfect. The repetition is no worse than any other modern game as most are the same old gameplay repeated until completion.

Bought it online new for only £18 last week & just bought the DLC prologue as well.

1989 classic was the best for its rotoscoping animation and great gameplay,me and all my mates completed it at the time of release but i feel the new Prince games are just average 3d platformers...tomb raider style zzZZzz

I enjoyed it, and even went back to it to get all 1001 light seeds. Need to pick it up again cheap now there's DLC for it, wouldn't mind completing that as well.

I hated it, as a revamp goes it was terrible. I liked the shell shadded style but hated the new prince look, the combat was bland and boring, the levels were far to simple and the game lacked any real imagination. Sands of time and Warrior within were far better imo. Best to rent it then complete it in a day, that is if you dont get bored of it after 5 minutes.

I enjoyed it.
It is quite repetitive but very fun and satisfying to play. I wouldn't recommend trying to complete it all at once.
I played it pretty spaced out so it kept it feeling fresh.

I just bought the Epilogue expansion. Wish I hadn't bothered now. It's DAMN hard. I've been stuck on one silly jump with the black blobs crawling the wall so I switched it off in frustration.
