Excuse me sir, why does my new car have buttocks on the roof?

Can we have a picture of the arse-roof corsa for comparative purposes? First two google results for "arse roof corsa" are OcUK threads.

(Apologies if there was a picture already posted. I'm on very flaky GPRS right now)

No it isn't. It's ugly to the point where you want to stab yourself in the eyes with a hot poker.

The double bubble aero is designed to create downforce, when used right.

Why any Peugeot (other than their Lemans racers) needs downforce though is beyond me :D I doubt that car has even been in a wind tunnel judging by the comically oversized air intake that makes up the entire front of the car...

Probably encourages the airflow to go over the top/middle of the car rather than being pushed towards and off the sides.

And that would create downforce how...?

Bournullis principle applied to that example would give a higher speed region between the humps which is of lower pressure and hence give lift.

Just wondering why someone can suggest its probably to create downforce when theres no possible way it could.

Audi TT + RX8 + Lexus SC430 + Peugot 207/307.

So much for originality.

Still, without the cynicism, its something different and makes for less Euro boxes on the road....

The Koenigsegg was one of the first cars that springs to mind to have it. Also the new Evora has one too.
The CCX? They added that roof shape to provide more headroom, same reason as the bubble roof in the dodge viper coupe, probably the same reason in the Evora.
