Battlefield 2 ocuk servers?

Would be nice to get back into the game with the OcUK chaps, and reliable admins. I froth at the mouth when I see people dropping hundreds of crates and what not.

Edit: When the 1.5 patch hits, we should have a big OcUK orgy.

Been playing the 1.53 Beta for the last few nights, seems fine, although I thought 1.41 was good enuf.

The only downfall to 1.53 is that there are usually about 3 populated servers at any one time :( , or I'm doing something wrong, but the players that do play seem quite adapt.

If you play 1.53 keep an eye out for me, my tag in bf2 is :-

Read the in game rules as they scroll but basically, don't be dick, don't insult people. And above all be nice and talk sensibly to the admins. :)

Sometimes one or two of our admins can get carried away but we're all a good bunch that want to play a fair game as much as you. So if you are unsure of the rules or have been kicked/warned about something and you are not sure why, ask them nicely and someone will try and take the time to explain.

A OcUK PR server would be top notch. There is a game that is hugely improved by playing with people you "know".

You make them sound like cocks :p Ban happy admins are only slightly superior to hackers.

Anyway, if I can be bothered to boot it up some time I'll pop by.
 
I think it just means you will get looked after with a fair game....I will slip onto that server myself and check it out tonight, always love a well admined server...

Nice attitude, when all I asked is that you be nice to the people that pay for and take time out of their day to run and maintain the server and have to constantly interrupt their own game so people like you can play with no thanks but very often torrents of abuse.

We all work for a living and game to relax and have a laugh together in Vent, a lot of us know each other in real life. No one would take that crap irl and we won't put up with it on the server.

I thought I made it sound more tongue in cheek than I probably did. Especially with the "I'll pop by comment". I'm sure you are all loveley chaps.

I've been kicked for getting a lot of legit kills before, I'm referring to those types of admins. You said that "some of our admins get carried away", I'm just getting flashbacks of past events.

I stand by my ban happy admins remark, but I am certainly not accusing you or your pals of anything! I appreciate a well run server as much as anyone.

Ahem, anyway, I'll pop by some time.
 
ok, fair enough maybe I misread the tone of your post. And I probably could've worded mine better but I really did only mean they can get carried away with abusive players or those disrupting the game. And that's not just abusing us but anyone on the server.

We won't ban for those with high scores or kills but we will 'cus them in vent and check the screens and demo's later on if sus. :p

We do ask our admins to justify their bans as well, so details need to be filled in on BF2CC and a post in our admin section of our web. warnings/kicks not so much. And only severe cases end up on the server's ban list.
 
Sounds a good server, well ran. I was thinking of starting up a server if there were afew people wanted to help pay but my pc is **** now. I respect admins so prob will pop on sometime soon, only problem is my ping may jump up now and then being on stupid wireless internet. I've had so many kicks in past with that game, not for playing stupid, mainly from losing connection :( or ping suddenly jumps and its auto kick :(, then some nights it's perfect well weird. Also still takes me about 20mins to log on to my profile, my pc is ready for an upgrade lol

would also be great for a PR server too, surprised your friends don't run one? Do you have the add on packs on bf2 too like euro, armour etc?
 
We used to have a much bigger server that we ran all sorts on but about a year a go the clan almost folded and one of the things we had to do to keep us going was downsize the server to the smallest we could get away with. So for now all we run is a 40 man BF2 server, with our vent on it as well.
