Jazz 1.2l
Panda 1l

Both about 2-3 years old.

Is the Jazz worth the 8% difference over the Panda? I will not be driving very often.

My mums Jazz has never had a problem. She bought it new in 2004, does many short journeys and gives it loads of abuse.

I've also taken it for a blast and that handing was awesome on the country roads. I drive like I'm on fire but I was suitably impressed with it overall.

I drive my mums fiat panda, Its good apart from that it doesnt accelerate when trying to overtake. Foot flat down and nothing happens. Thats the 1.1l

Neither are very 'Burly' cars in all honesty :D

I would say the Jazz though, because Honda have a good reputation for not breaking, Fiat ...do not, and it has 20% more cubic capacity :D

I was quite impressed with the Jazz when I drove one - wouldn't hesitate to recommend it, if it suits one's needs

Mum has an automatic Jazz, has had it since new in 2003. It's barely done 30k miles since then, but hasn't missed a beat...oh, except we thought the air-con had broken, but it seems that perhaps it's just the LED in the air-con button, as it still feels cold even though the light isn't on :D Capable little car, wouldn't want one for myself personally, but fine for my mum to potter around in.

Everyone gets terribly moist over the Jazz and its got rave reviews. However, looking at one I can't see how, looks distinctively average. However, there must be a reason I guess.

Tell her to get this:

Looks like he needs his tracking done.

My mother's on her 2nd Jazz. Both have been perfectly reliable and give mid 40s fuel consumption. Clever interior and a very sensible car, let down somewhat by a jittery ride (newer one is better though). As for the other car, it's a FIAT and therefore by default rubbish.

The Panda is pretty fun to drive.

Panda is reliable, its not even made in Italy (Poland)

Much better then the bland Jizz.

Wiki Quote:
Top Gear Motoring Survey in 2006 ranked it 8th out of 152 cars surveyed for reliability, craftsmanship, ownership costs, driving experience and service received. Traditionally, Fiat have ranked at the lower end of this table, showing that the Nuova Panda is reversing the trend and suggesting a rise in quality standards for Fiat.[4]

Our Jazz has done 118K on a 2002 plate and runs flawlessly. It never seems to get below 40MPG either, no matter how hard it is driven.

i would op for the jazz all the way. more spacious and being honda, very realiable.

fiat panda would be good for local, short journeys.

The new Panda is actually one of the most reliable cars you can buy.

I think you actually mean the 1.1 FIRE (there is no 1.0), which no longer has any HGF issues whatsoever.

People I know with them claim that they feel like a much larger car.

i love the new pandas. however i cant really comment much because ive never even been in a jazz. both sound like very similar and good small cars

pick the one you like the colour of best :p
