Where are all the sci-fi FPS games for xbox?

I really like futuristic shooters, but there is such a lack of them on the xbox. Seems theres a good couple of current games out on PS3 such as KZ2 and Resistance 1+2 (MAG coming out too which looks fab), but I can not think of one for xbox.

Theres plenty of WWII and contemporary stuff (BF:BD and COD4, with OFP2 and COD 4.2 coming) but nothing futuristic....

Why is that, and is there anything lined up? Or is there some that I missed?

I am on the verge of getting a PS3, just to get to play a few sci-fi shooters, but it feels a bit extravagant.
 
I will give you Halo 3 out of that lot... which somehow I forgot about... though it doesn't do much for me.

Dead Space isn't an FPS and Bioshock isn't really futuristic (though it is somehow) - though a great game and loved playing it through on PC.

Suppose I should have mentioned, this is for games which with good MP - Halo 3 may qualify, but again, not that fond of it.
 
If Gears of War isn't a futuristic shooter I'm not sure what is.

There's also Halo 3, Prey, Fracture, Half Life 2 with portal, Lost Planet, Quake IV, Timeshift, Unreal Tournament 3, Dark Sector, Earth Defense Force 2017 and Frontlines: Fuel of War with the latter being especially good. Must be something there you fancy :)

edit: Also not sure if it's what you're after but Mass Effect is a fantastic Sci Fi RPG/RPS and you've Halo ODST and Lost Planet 2 coming soon.

Mass Effect is about as futuristic as shooters go (not FPS) as it's an action RPG 3rd person. thats the only one I can think of. Cant remember whether Ghost recon is futuristic.

Wolfenstein is coming, thats pretty futuristic

When you put it like that, I guess there are plenty :) Just nothing recent.

Though I played through a lot of them on PC.

Pity Fronlines wasn't more popular. I really liked that game. Actually, I think I still have it. Might fire up the SP tonight :)

Would be madness buying a PS3 just for the likes of KZ2 and Resistance, wouldn't it?

I loved quake wars on PC, but heard it was dire on Xbox. Not sure how they could have messed it up.... anyone playing it online still?

Whats Perfect Dark like? Was always curious, but it always seemed to be generally loathed...

Oh, and finished ME twice and will do a third play through when it's nearing time for 2 to come out :)

I've yet to play it, the original is still one of my favorite games. but beware apparently it's less of a serious game so dont get into it expecting a hard line plot.

I still mean to get it, cant go wrong for a fiver.

Perfect Dark Zero was dire, truly, truly awful and I played it quite a while ago; god knows how it appears now.

I know I'm in the minority but I really enjoyed Halo 3 especially as I played through the whole thing coop with 2 buddies :)

For those two games alone, yes, Killzone 2 is brilliant (and has a great multiplayer side too) but never has a single game been enough of a reason to buy a console. However if you are also interested in Uncharted, MGS4, Valkyria Chronicles, LBP, Motorstorm:PR etc etc etc then if you've got the money i don't see why not.
 
Uncharted is worth every penny, beautiful game and its fun not that long is its only downside i think, wish i never got rid of mine but i did finish it so wasnt to bad!

At £12 id buy it again!
