good i7 mobo to overclock

what is a good i7 mobo to overclock under 250 pounds for a virgin overclocker .?
i have leaned in the direction of a gigabyte ud5

i was torn between them 2 but thought the gigabyte ud5 may be just that bit easier

for a first timer to OC

Using the above on my setup

Overclocked to 4ghz with minimal fuss.

Only grip I have mine is noisy when speedstep is enabled.

You get what you pay for. The i7 is an "extreme" chip. If you have an i7 it's because you're most likely an enthusiast. You shelled out the extra dough to get the best, so why not give it a mansion rather than a just a really nice house to live in. Not that I'm saying the other mobo's are just "nice houses", but what I'm getting at is that it's a good board to oc an i7 on. SPLURGE!

You shelled out the extra dough to get the best, so why not give it a mansion rather than a just a really nice house to live in. Because he is a virgin overclocker and does not need a "mansion" because he will not be going to break any records and a board 2/3's of its price is more than capable of that

ahh to hit 3.6GHz you wouldnt have to spend anywhere close to £250, my mate has never overclocked before and got the 920 DO to just over 3.7GHZ on air with THIS
