Diesel Decat

I need to decat my passat, theres slight lag in between changes would be good if that went away.

You'd be suprised :)

My car only has one CAT, post turbo. Fitting a de-cat (and free flowing cat-back exhaust) dropped the boost threshold from nearly 4000rpm to about 3200rpm.

4000RPM seems ridiculously high, what turbo are you using? The T28 in my coupe is making significant (but not quite full) boost at 2500RPM, and that's with the cat fitted.

Lol @ "tuning" box nonsense

Andys got a T28 Pulsar turbo iirc.

Full boost on a pulsar T28 is roughly 3200 with an exhaust and decat so his sounds about right.

Seeing his old exhaust previously im not suprised it wasnt boosting early!

The T28 from the 200sx spools up quicker, as do the more expensive GT28R and RS's.

What a lot of crap. I wonder how much fuel has been spunked away into the atmosphere by these crap mods over the years?

The expensive boxes work on exactly the same principal - fooling a sensor. A pretty stupid idea IMO, you're better off putting something on your speed sensor to make you think youre going faster
