Lets say you lost your job and almost everything yet you had £1000 cash?

How would you use that to make more money without risk of losing the £1000?

Be serious and inventive guys :) .... remember that guy that earned over £20,000 in a year by becoming the bookie - he started that up with a few hunded pounds.

If you take £1000 and put in the bank - the bank will always take the most profit on YOUR money. You get a job, the owner will get most of YOUR money. How would you use £1000 to get to the top of the tree rather than be bottom of it?

It would have to be some form of investment or gambling of course.

Gambling for me as I know little if anything about investment :p

Use the £1000 to open up as many bank accounts with as big an overdraft on each as possible.

There was a program on a couple of months back in which a student did just that and managed to scoop about £72K. I think he's only now just starting to pay it back.

edit - in all seriousness, bank it. get a job, like you should.

I would use it to try and find some new work, travel etc etc. Get another basic job such as a cleaner etc to act as a platform to rebuild from .

If all was totally lost then I would travel to another country and try and start a simple life there.

yeah i saw that program, he eventually started using a glitch with cashback to get basically unlimited money on credit?

Think he declared himself bankrupt and didnt have to pay much, if any, of it back. its buggered his credit rating for the rest of his life, but it was genius.
