Would you get into the UK?

I failed but after it tried to tell me I was wrong for not picking B and D, when there was only A, B and C, I found out that this test was retarded.

How are people getting it so wrong?

You have passed the practice citizenship test.

Questions answered correctly: 22 out of 24 (92%)

Time taken: 03 minutes 25 seconds

Because 90% of these questions no one needs to know and know one cares about maybe?

10/24.

Not sure why to be english you need to know facts and figures. That seems like the kind of thing a person who when you ask how things are going starts talking about the economic climate, imports etc (I think it might have been clarkson talking about Germans on this one). No-one cares :p

oh dear, i thought i did quite well.. whatever, left the UK last year, and i've only lived in the UK for 6 years of my life :o

things like Quangos are fair enough i guess, but statistics like when did women have the right to divorce and how many young people are there in the UK..
who the **** knows? seriously?

having said that, if you're going to take the test, you're going to read the handbook and therefore know the answers, so there should be no excuses.

Please select 'Test summary' for a full summary of your test and for advice on how to use the Official Handbook and Study Guide to prepare for the actual test.

Please note: At the end of the actual test, your answers will not be displayed on screen. At the end of the test session the test supervisor will tell you whether you have passed or not.

I was quite shocked so did it again, I checked out the Test Summary this time and all the answers come from some Govt. Book which was obviously compiled by some immigrant! (I also realised there are TWO answers to some of the questions..:o)

In your opinion maybe, I think it's quite good to have a decent general knowledge of the country we live in.

Don't forget, this is 24 sample questions. To have a good chance of passing the test foreigners will have to study to the point where they have a good understanding of how the country is made up, how it operates, some of the history behind it and the law. How can that possibly be a bad thing to have new entrants learning?

12/24 some things are easy others are pointless knowledge that nobody knows, unless its their job to know.

speed limits, well that depends if you drive tbh...

school uniform.. fair enough

what's the document called used to ...... parliament ... blah blah, WTF???

You think it should be general knowledge what the largest immigrant groups were in 1980? Which year women gained the right to divorce? The number of people 19 or under in the UK? etc..

People do not come by this information in day to day life.

6/24

lol

that children aged 13-16 working x hour max... I used to work from 6pm until 11pm 4-7 days a week :D
