Didn't know where else to put this, saw the product suggestion thread but this isn't a product so I thought I would post it here.

This is both a suggestion to Overclockers UK and a poll for members of this forum as I wanted to see if anyone else would like to see this happen.

Idea came to me yesterday when I tried ordering some items and it kept coming back saying it had failed, so I just gave up. Two hours later it popped up on my account that I had ordered the same thing 3 times .

Currently awaiting web note reply and customer service forum reply from Overclockers UK to get this sorted but my point is:

I think account holders should have the right to cancel orders for themselves.

Overclockers UK is the first company I have seen that doesn't offer you an option to cancel your order. The only way you can cancel an order is to phone them up, web note, or make a post of the customer service thread in the forum.

However this approach can be slow, is a pain for the customer, and waists Overclockers UK's time.

If the account holder could cancel their orders it would take some of the work off of Overclockers UK employees and give the customer better satisfaction - win win?

So here we go for a poll:

Do you think Overclockers UK should incorporate a 'cancel order' feature within the account holders options (whilst the order is still in Overclockers UK's hands)?

Yes: 1

No: 0

Not bothered: 0

Thanks :)

No-one's going to say no are they? But large features like online order management don't just get thrown out, it would be a major website re-write that needs significant testing (especially as any order modification would result in credit card payments).

One day, it's certainly been on the drawing board long enough, just hasn't made it into production yet.
