I thought nadesico got even more fun around the middle, although not everyones cup of tea if i'm honest.
I do agree about afro samurai, for me it was a big disappointment and one of the few series i've actually not given up on, which is rare, especially as it was on TV at the time so wasn't costing me anything.

memyselfandi, that is a pretty strange way to announce/release a title, although it has got me slightly tempted:)

I just finished **** the animation, which was great so i'm moving on to Rozen Maiden Treumond today, then it's Nerima Diakon Brothers or Solty Rei (both of which arrived this morning)

hmmmm ... I think I may have to give Nadesico a look at the weekend, I've got the boxset somewhere around in the backlog. Personally I found Afro Samurai was rubbish (to put it politely)

I think the release plan for Kannagi is to try and reduce returns from physical stores by limiting it to an online store only release. At least it's half season sets, although a full season boxset would be nicer, and it would be a lot more convenient for me if it was available from people like UP as well. Hasn't been listed on TRSI yet but it's probably not even this morning there yet ;)

Edit: Both volume 1 and volume 2 (with a selection of t-shirt options) are available now for order from TRSI.

Up to date with Spice and Wolf now, apart from S2 Ep2 which is itching to be watched on my HDD. I didn't think I'd like it but it's absolutely brilliant.

Anyway, now that's done I'm moving on to Seto no Hanayome, which seems like a nice fun comedy :)

I've seen episode one of Seto no Hanayome and it seemed to be quite good. I'm not bothering watching the rest at the moment though as Funimation's licensed it and said they'll be putting it out on R1 in the second half of this year.

Awesome series and one of the most hilarious from 2007. Some really good parodies in there, especially with the introduction of Lunar's Papa :D.

Hopefully the dubbing will at least be authentic, because there is a crap load of fast-talking in this series.

Seto no hanayome is absolutely hilarious.

I was WTF? for the first few episodes because I had been told it was a gangster anime. Of course, by the time it got to the sing-off, I was bouncing up and down like an idiot itching for the next episode.

Anyone had a chance to watch this seasons offering from bones?

Going by the Wikipedia list of what they've done ... FMA:Brotherhood is good but I haven't seen the others. I'll probably be checking out the first couple of episodes of Tokyo: Magnitude 8.0 at the weekend.

Yep, watching Tokyo Magnitude 8.0 and so far its really interesting, seeing as it is supposed to be a realistic take on a possible real-life future event. Just the thought of itself is scary enough as Tokyo is long due for a big one, ever since the 1923 Great Kanto Earthquake.

how many episodes of naruto Shippuden are there?

I've got up to 100 (haven't watched any yet)

would like to know how many i'm missing

Rewatched 5cm/s again this evening. Still a stunning and thought provoking film as are all of Shinkai's works imo.

Been catching up with the latest animes airing.

Hayate No Gotoku - as funny and stupid as ever :D
Shangri-la - seems like it might be coming together a bit plot wise although its still all over the place
FMA: Brotherhood - im liking it so far with it now with the changes and its missed out allot of the crap from the original series.
Haruhi - Endless 8 is endless :( at least until after next weeks episode apparently.

I still think this spring/summer has been really dull so far :( I want some 5* anime.

Well, watched the first episode of Tokyo Magnitude 8.0 yesterday which I thought was a pretty good start along with Canaan episode 2 and Princess Lover episode 2 - both of which were good but the censorship in the latter is really irritating, (e.g. the main male character is sitting on the floor with three girls standing in front of him and makes mental comments about their pantsu but the shots where you are eeing what he is seeing just have big, black, fuzzed out areas).

I see that Funimation has East of Eden which is a good interesting series, the only problem being that it appears that, whilst they have the series licensed, they haven't wrapped up rights to the movies yet which could be a bit of an issue given how the series ends. More details on their announcements from Otakon here
including details on their new Dragonball boxsets

Watched about half of Martian Successor Nadesico which I thought was very amusing and I'll probably watch the rest of it today after I've caught up on a few things on CrunchyRoll. I also started rewatching Midori Days too.

edit: Forgot to mention, also read Aish_teruze Baby (7 vols) last week and first volume of Kimi Kiss. The former was good, the latter was meh.

Just seen Guyver 2005 edition. Much as i liked it i miss some of the cooler bits from the original. Was far more fleshed out tho. And apparently more faithful to the manga i.e the sidekick was not the las but the lad. Hope they make a season 2 as it really needs it.
