Been reading some contradicting stuff about sending a letter recorded delivery to a PO BOX address, can anyone confirm if this is possible?

Ta

i tried to send recorded next day to a PO box for my uni loan application, and because it had to be signed for it was forwarded on to another address but still go delivered so i do not see why you cannot send recorded no :)

You can send via RM, who still need a signature from the recipient within 7 days. Couriers will not generally deliver to PO Box numbers because a box cannot sign a proof of delivery.

I can't see how it would possibly be delivered.

There are essentially two types of PO box. Those that are just a mask for the real address and those which are held at the delivery office and collected. If the PO box is just a mask for a real address then whatever you send is delivered as if it had the actual address on it. If the PO box is one that is held at the delivery office then any signed for items will be held and the owner of the PO box will sign for them when they come in to collect it. If they don't come in after 7 days (or 3 weeks for SD) it is sent back.
