hi guys

i got 360 controller for PC. how to change joystick to thumbpad? i looked in settings but couldnt find anything. it's very annoying to use joystick to steer car in trackmania lol

Well that will be down to the games themselves, If the game is designed with analogue control then it wouldn't be simple to use the digital 4-way stick
 
tbh i though by default trackmania let you use either?

if not, as suggested, you should just be able to re-config in game. or use one of those progs to map j/pads to keys.

From personal experience, you'll get nowhere near the precision in Trackmania with the D-pad as you would with the thumb stick.... D-pad can shave seconds off keyboard times, thumb stick shaves more off the D-pad times.

Stick with the thumb stick, for it is your friend in Trackmania.
 
thumb stick easily over d-pad

ive used 360 pad since the day it come out, which was with trackmania nations and always been at very top of scoreboards what ever server im in :p
 
As above i have allways used the thumb stick for trackmania far superior to the d pad.

Just practice with it and soon you will have it down to pat dewd.
 
Try to get out of the habit of swinging it from full left to full right etc. That's not how it works:p
 
The analogue stick is just that.. analogue. It is far more precise than the d-pad, and much better for racing games like Trackmania. As per the post above :)
