Warnings for 2012

The Bible says...

...an awful lot of rubbish.

That the date for Armageddon, the final battle between Good an Evil, has been set down for 2012.

But this is not one of those things it actually says. Not to mention Armageddon is actually a place rather than an occurence.

The I Ching, also known as the Chinese book of Changes, says the same thing,

No, it doesn't.

as do various sections of the Hindu teachings.

Again, doesn't say any such thing.

Please give us the location in the Bible for that. And even if does say it (which I seriously doubt) - so what?

If you really believe this, then bet everyone on the forums a fiver that the world will end before the end of 2012. If you win, obviously you won't collect, but you'll die in satisfaction. If you're not prepared to take the bet, you don't believe.

LOL! So they're suggesting a star is headed for us? :D OK! We'd have noticed that :)

I thought maybe is was just suppose to be a small planet or something... Not something bigger than Jupiter trying to sneak up on us all unnoticed like :)

A brown dwarf isn't quite a star, but it's close enough for your LOL to fit. You'd certainly detect one coming from a long way off. By now, it would be visible from the surface of Earth at night, maybe even during the day.

So we're left with four options:

i) Nibiru is fitted with one hell of a cloaking device that also makes it massless or somehow blocks its gravitational field so it doesn't affect anything else. Nibiru is a Stealth Mega Death Star! Man the X-wings!

ii) Nibiru is nowhere near Earth at the moment and will teleport in nearer the date.

iii) Nibiru is nowhere near Earth at the moment and is travelling extremely quickly. Far more than quickly enough to break orbit and go flying off into deep space, but it remains in orbit somehow, in defiance of every theoretical and observed aspect of planetary motion. It also has one hell of a containment field to keep it together.

iv) Nibiru doesn't exist.

My money's on (iv) :)

(ii) sounds cool though...

How about another. Maybe its a planet of pure evil that comes once every 5000 years? It is infact intelligent and its no good trying to blow it out of the sky because it will only make it stronger! Obviously Magik and co are some sort of priests and have access to knowledge that greatly details this happening. It sounds almost like science fiction!

Oh wait no hang on it would appear Ive been watching far too much Fifth Element. Well it was almost believeable.

I predict that absolutely nothing will happen on 21st December 2012. if something does then I will eat food off the floor post 5-second rule.

Of course it wont be the end of the world. Its all about how the world copes. It just drives me crazy that people just laugh here.

Have you seen the threads here when the power even goes out for 1 hour! It like it was out for 2 weeks.

Like i said this country couldn't cope without power for 1 week never mind a few months!

Just think

No food will get delievered
No petrol at stations!
The list is endless

I also believe the government knows this all already! You may laugh, but it would be interesting to see how the 2012 village is going. I bet it will be fit to hold a lot of people with some limited power ;)

Back in the 80's during that huge storm we were without power for nearly 3 weeks, as was the rest of the town, we managed alright.

I believe in the 2012 theory, but it won't be the end of the world, it'll be the end of the world as we know it.

Things will change...

*dons tin foil hat*

So lets say nothing happens in 2012 what will you do?

will you renounce your faith? or will you just say the date was calculated wrong and it's still to come?

Can you tell me where in the Bible it says this?

And the Mayan calendar doesn’t actually end on 21 DEC 2012 does it, it marks the end of an Age
The calendar is made up of a series of three calendars they just begin again as they have in the past

I asked jesus if this was going to happen last night. He replied by saying all the unicorns will gather and fight it away with there magical horns

The fact that it was posted on the internet (a forum no less) and with a poll where 86% of voters disagree is all that needs to be said.
