Gaming Monitor Decision? ASUS OR SAMSUNG

Hi Hi,

I am looking to purchase a gaming monitor for competitive use. The two models I found are the Asus PG221 and the Samsung SM 2233RZ.

I do not know which model to choose and need some advise. I noticed that the Asus monitor has a low response time of 2ms, and the Samsung has a 5ms. Does this make the Asus a far superior monitor or does it not make much difference?

My budget is £300.

Hmm Cool! Is this a better model than the SM 2233?

I think the SM2443BW has a similar (if not the same) panel and a more adjustable stand. Simpler design though...

I have just had a look at the contrast ratios and noticed that the Asus PG221 has 2000:1. Does this make it a bad monitor. Most of the new monitors have 20,000:1.
