High just got my megahalem and 2 x noctua fans

I have one in the CPU FAN and the other in system fan 2

In the bios the fan speed for CPU is 1300 as expected

but the one on SYSTEM FAN 2 is only going at 750 rpm????

The auto function is "off" so dont get it??? - what do I need to do for 2 x 1300

rpms

thanks a lot

You haven't used one of the voltage dropping cables in addition to the main connector have you? Noctua supply 2 voltage regulators which reduce voltage and thus speed with their fans? Direct connection for full speed.

The system/chassis fans will automatically adjust the fan speeds according to the system temperature. Look in your BIOS for Q-Fan options and set accordingly. This should raise it to full speed. :)

On my asus board i had one plugged into the cpu header and one in the pwr header, this left both running at full speed (sharkoon se 2000's 3 pin) nice and loud.:D

Nice one guys - you helped again loads - it was as the last post mentioned - you need to put the other in PWR FAN socket for both @ full speeds -

I left the CPU fan blank attached the PSU fan to pwr fan
the two noctuas to points 1 and 2
Disable the CPU fan missing warning in bios and your on!
