Hi Guys,

Me and the family have been planning a trip to France now for a while, and we have already booked tickets/hotels etc.....

Problem is that I just read this and I'm a little worried as we are going by Car and Ferry

http://news.carrentals.co.uk/british-warned-about-gangs-of-migrants-in-calais-3427698.html

So what do you guys think? How real is the threat?? etc

Personally if i see trouble I'm just gonna drive at them!! ( Not sure what the french plod will think of that though??)

Dude, a group of people blockading the road, waving knives when you have yourself, mrs and kids in the car is not ideal.

So its better for me to have a plan/strategy in place, and right now thats putting the car on them, only problem is they might hurt my precious (Car) as i drive past them!!!

Soon as you land move by sections, provide covering fire, but aim to shoot to kill.
Stop them on the beachheads boys, don't let them cross the channel!

Huzzah!

ROFL :) That was funny. I take it no one thinks that this is something to worry about then.

Free Legal kills, Where do I sign up.
Wish somebody would jump out in front of the Landy waving a knife, Some people get All the luck. :(

Edit.

S'pose I should say that I've spent a lot of time in France & Love the place & the people to bits, I've got wasted & crashed out in the street many times. Some parts are a bit dark but stay around your own & you'll be fine.

Thankfully France is one of those countries considered 'safe'. If you're worried about a bunch of thugs in a place like Calais, how the hell do you get through the day in London?

Were actually going to DisneyLand, and I've been there many times before, and no may way around quite well, I was really only concerned with the Calais thing, and especially what side of the law i'd be on if i run someone over if they've held a knife up to me

If Sarkozy had his way, you'd be getting a medal, sir.

I actually live in one of the dodgier parts of london, thing is that I know my way around, what to do etc there. This is a bit unknown, I'm actually inclined to beleive that this is an isolated incident. Heres hoping anyway

err just run any of them over, lock doors, keep windows up, seriously why would you open your window and throw your wallet out. makes no sense.

I should bring an empty Wallet, lol....

I would certainly not give them my wallet, or open the windows or unlock my doors, thats just silly

1400mm Artillery or T2 Torps should sort them out for you.

Make sure you've got a decent kinetic tank.

You’re going to Calais not the Khyber Pass or Helmand Province, don’t forget that they drive on the wrong side of the road.
