So Guys,

Im going to sell my Escort RS Turbo as i am starting a new job that requires me to drive to work. I dont want to drive my RS to work as it will tot the miles and will be a shame to do this to a classic.

I will be sell my RS for about £2k for a quick sale.

Anways.....

I originally was looking at a MK1 RS Focus but £10k is a lot to part with... even the they do make me droolllll.....

So... i have £6k in the bank at the moment and have been looking at Integra Type R DC2's.... about £4 - £5k for a nice imported jap spec, reliable, quick and rare to see...

what else is as quick as my RS, reliable and rare...

A mate said to get a Nissan 300ZX Twin Turbo lol...

Help me dudes... i dont really want to go over £6k unless it was awesome!

thanks.

I meant 328, I thought the 330s are a bit more expensive? But I'm not 100% with BMW pricings etc, so take anything I say with a pinch of salt, it tends to be picked up from somewhere rather than genuine knowledge :p

integra dc2 type r anyday over any bmw or what ever else will get recommended in here for 6k :)

o and EK9 if you can find a decent one for 6k :)

Pricing and running costs are identical. I thought the E46 328 was quite an early model that was scrubbed off in favour of the 330. I'm sure Fox will set me straight.

I never get why people dismiss suggestions in the hunt for something 'rare'. A Focus RS is far from rare.

i really fancy one of these, so i would choose this annd spec it how you like, or if you want to spend more, then go for a Supra TT, same power as the ZX but apparently it handles a little better and looks nicer too (IMO)

Are the reliable though? I can't be bothered with a high maintenence car like an EVO - even though there beautiful.

they're japanese - bulletproof :D

In all seriousness though, i was reading an article about them the other day and the general consensus was to stay away from anything that's been highly modded / looks like it's been owned by someone who doesn't care and preferably a british model (not an import {though this wasn't as important}), then they are reliable cars. I'll have a look and see if i can find the arcticle.

How many miles will you be doing? Lots of these cars will be no better at milemunching than your Escort RS?

Decide if you want a mile muncher (Mondeo, Beemer) or something along the same lines as the RS (Focus RS/ST, 300zx).

Well i want like a Focus RS style, but Integra Type R will doooo just something decent, rare and quick for 6k or less.

Don't have an account so cannot view the page.

Only thing I've ever been told about an ITR is as a fun car you get to rag they are simply brilliant, when you have to get from A to B they are a nightmare and far too uncomftable.
