I read in another post, that Brand A memory doesn't like Brand B motherboards.

Is there a brand of memory I'm likely to have more success with if I use a DFI motherboard?

I have a DFI Infinity Blood Iron P35 TRL2 (?)

I know on their website it lists several manufacturers memory, but I wondered if there is a "best" one.

I've had no problems running G.Skill memory in DFI boards. I used to run the HZ (DDR) memory in my old DFI LanParty. I then bought the P35 board which I still use now, and that has the PQ (DDR2) memory. My bro has the P45 DFI board and runs G.Skill memory also. :)

Hope this helps!

I had HUGE problems getting my 4x1GB kit of Corsair Dominator PC2-8500 to work at their rated speeds in my DFI X38 LT. They work fine at their rated speeds in other systems :/

It wouldn't boot half the time with them over 800Mhz, so I just bought a 2x2GB kit of Buffalo Firestix PC2-8500 and they are brilliant :)

i have two dfi lanparty boards, a p35 and a x38, i use 2x1gb 8500 crucial ballistix in the p35 and 4x1gb corsair xms2 c4 6400 in the x38 with no problems with either. the 8500 ram runs at 1066mhz no problem

I have used 2x2GB kit of Corsair Dominator PC2-8500 and 4x2GB kit of Kingston Hyper X PC2-8500 with no problem on my DFI X38 LT.

If you use 4 sticks of RAM you will have to increase the volts on your NB to obtain a stable system, you may have to run at lower speed as well, better to stick with two sticks

I was running 1.6v still with issues, so it wasn't volts. SO it may have been an issue with filling the dimm slots, since my new 2x2GB runs on stock NB volts happily at 1066MHz.
