Coolermaster Cosmos S any good?

Ill be putting my current rig in the case for now. But i will be moving to i7 over the next couple of months. I also wanted to get a Prolimatech Megahalems cpu cooler and use that untill i get my i7 system. But by the look of it i dont know if that will fit because of the side fan on the cosmos s. And Zerolimitz i dont want to get the antec 1200 as i wanted some different from all of the cases ive had in the past, im getting very board of the blue lights/windowed etc.

Ill be ordering the case, power supply and cpu cooler first. I have planned on ordering the following:

Coolermaster cosmos S
PC Power & Cooling Silencer 750 Quad-Crossfire PCI-E 750W Power Supply
Prolimatech Megahalems cpu cooler

you won't regret it mate, these are one of the best cpu cooler for overclocking i7 core. I had one of it, very very good beat my old thermalright extreme 120 as temperature is 3/4 degrees lower than thermalright.

I know they are really good coolers mate but my concern is that it might not fit in the cosmos S because of the side panel fan.

I don't know for sure but doubt it will fit as it look around the same size as a TRUE and from personal experience that will not fit.

The Cosmos S is an ok case but imo better suited to a watercooling set up rather than air. I swapped an Antec 900 for it and found my temps with a mildly overclocked Q6600 and a TRUE (removed side fan) to be 5-10c higher in the Cosmos S.

*edit* Dimensions: 63.44mm x 132.0mm x 160.5mm -TRUE
Dimension (L)130mm X (W)74mmX (H)158.7mm - Megahalem

Very unlikely to fit unless you remove the side fan or chop away some of the frame.

That side fan definitely causes problems with big tower heatsinks.
In some cases when motherboard has CPU socket positioned high enough there's space for heatsink in one position but quite many who have gotten tower heatsink to fit have achieved that by cutting fan's frame slightly.

Well, isn't that like you're in need of Lian Li?

The lian Li are too square for my liking. Ive just gone ahead and ordered a coolermaster cosmos S. Ill post back with pics and what i think of it :D

Getting ready for intel i7 build, and i think the case is amazing. Lowered my temps by 10c ;D
