just got my 920-d0

cant get stable on 3.8 for some reason :(
using the same settings as above, intel burn test stops around half way through saying its unstable

EDIT: nevermind, got it stable at 3.8:D

It's quite sad that the expectation that the DO chips will all run at more than 4GHz just doesn't happen, I remember when the DO's were coming out Easyrider said almost all the DO's would do 4.5GHz and people thought he was right when I said that some will and a lot would do much less I was made to look silly.
I have a CO that does just under 4.4GHz 21 hour prime stable with temps under 60c, I have been trying to get a CPU that's better for months without any luck.
When you think of how hot the DO's run a good CO can be much better in my opinion.

Did you manage to get any more from yours?

isn't the odds on getting a good d0 better than a c? Agree ppl's expectations are getting a little high, generally not individually. 4ghz on a 2.66 chip? I'd be quite happy if mine ONLY hit 3.5 odd.

i cant get it passed 3.8 for some reason, though i am using the cheapest P6T, not sure if thats the problem, that or im doing something wrong

Yes I think overall the percentage of DO's more able to clock higher than the CO's is greater but no where near as high as people are lead to believe.

Why though do people exaggerate how good new parts are without any factual information I do not know.
All it does is create a bad situation, the CO chips were immediately looked at as inferior and there resale value plumitted, the people who sold some good CO's wound up getting a DO that was slower and hotter.

50's idling? no first hand experience yet, (soon though, blood rage and d0 920 here tuesday), but relative to others that seems a tad high, especially considering the case / cooler.

most of the threads I've read seem to shown low 40's at idle in 'normal' ambient conditions. How have you found the noctua? Debating on whether to get one for my new build, although I loathe the colour of the fans :( Sad but true.

It's a beast but I'm very happy with it. My max temps at 4GHz are 79/79/79/74C but usually around 75C when Priming or running IBT. The fans are silent too (can't hear them at all compared to case fans, GPU fan and PSU fan) so it's definitely worth the money IMO. I don't care what it looks like, I care how it performs. :)

im not a big fan of the colour scheme as well, but the cooler it self is fantastic, really silent, but you may want to look into a Megahalems and add a different fan if the colour bothers you that much

right now ive got the voltages at 1.25 for cpu and dram, havent had a chance to take them lower atm, would you guys say its the motherboard thats not letting me go further or something else?
