First time Ive posted a pic of mine in here I think but anyhow this was taken on a Fuji S8000fd (bought for £70) and a £10 macro adaptor from feebay.

I know its slightly out of focus but this was taken hand held on my fence in the back garden and I'm still getting the hang of this holding still thing ......!!!

Any suggestions appreciated.

Only suggestion I could possibly make is try to shoot from the front of the spider not the back, but with the composition you picked the ar*e-shot isn't bad anyway!
Good eff.

in auto the camera likes to always set the iso a little high - slightly noisy in the dark area.

Is there a need for the macro adapter?? I always found it to be excellent as it was? Did you try without?

The noise will be my lack of processing skills mate as it aint there on the original.

Also the macro adaptor was needed as the little blighter kept running behind the fence post, without it as I just was unable to get close enough.
