I am currently using a 19" Mitsubishi Diamond Pro CRT but its started to flicker at the bottom of the screen so I think it might be time to finally go for an LCD! :D

Ideally I am looking for either a 22" or 24" monitor (ideally 24" if I'm honest unless there is a great reason to go with a 22") with full 1080p capabilities, HDMI input (in case I want to play my PS3 through it) and ideally a good gaming response time (2ms or 5ms??)

I've read a lot of threads on here for the Dell models and Samsung models but I think I'm more confused that when I started!!!

Budget is ideally around £160 with a max of £200......

Any opinions welcome!

Cheers,

StevieP

Thanks for the quick reply! It does look very nice but I'm still leaning towards a 24", ideally with a 2ms response, if at all possible within my budget!

I've had a look at the Iiyama Prolite E2407HDS which can be had for £175ish - does anyone have any experience of this model?? (and also, anyone know what the difference is between this one and the B2409HDS one at over £200???)

Thanks....

I would recommend the monitor I have,
22" LG Flatron M227WD

It's full 1080p, has very good specs and AMAZING inputs

It can be had for short of £200 :)

theres no point going 24" over 22" unless you go for one with the increased res of 1920*1200 over 1920*1080, the samsung T240 on TWO is good but outside your budget at £230, link

Again, looks very nice and ticks most of the boxes (and would be handy for it to have a TV tuner built in) but I'm still thinking of 24" rather than 22" and as most of my PC use is for gaming, a 2ms response would be preferred!

Keep the suggestions coming guys....

How come?? I'd have thought a true 1080 screen would be more than good enough?? Surely a 24" screen is going to be nicer (and easier on the eye) to look at than a 22" when it comes to watching movies, playing games and using for my PS3??

I cant imagine I would ever game at 1080, let alone above that, with my HD4850 graphics card!?!?!

I game 1920 x 1080 on a 1GB hd4850 :o

I was just about to post a topic pretty much the same as this. Im in the exact same situation. Only thing I would add is that I would be playing the 360 on the same screen and wont have a pc attached.

I was looking at the Iiyama ProLite B2409HDS but only thing I was worried about is the ability to plug in some pc speakers for use with the hdmi and dvi (ie ps3 and 360) as sound in these screens are usually quite bad.

Anyone wanna help both of us out and give us your opinion if you own any of these screens??

Has anyone got any experience of the Iiyama Prolite E2407HDS as it ticks all the boxes for me!! (HDMI, 2ms response, 1080 resolution)

Thanks.....
