Grapes - Do you wash them before eating?

I usually wash them in pesticides just to keep my immune system on it's toes.

I dont sit there washing my apples and grapes...However if I was in a third world country I wouldn't just go around eating random fruit off a tree / plant.

Well more and more people suffer from Illness of unknown origin, FTI pesticides have been associated with Wilms tumor, non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, retinoblastoma neuroblastoma and probably a few more.

The hotter the water is, the more bacteria it kills, so using cold water probably doesn't do a lot. My family does it to wash off bits, like branches/bark/whatever plus they seem to taste nicer.
