Grapes - Do you wash them before eating?

so using cold water probably doesn't do a lot. My family does it to wash off bits, like branches/bark/whatever plus they seem to taste nicer. :p
My point exactly, rinsing it under the cold water tap is only likely to get rid of loose particles, all the germs, bacteria and pesticides aren't going to be shifted in the slightest.

I normally give fruit a quick wash if it's not the sort you peel. Though it's not the biggest deal in the world if I can't (as long as it isn't visibly dirty/dusty... that just doesn't taste nice). I once saw a toddler in the supermarket in a trolley left unattended by his Mum for a few minutes: he managed to get a hold of an apple off the display next to him, gave it a lovely lick with lots of slaver and then put it back.... eeyeeeww

Talk about cotton wall generation.

You guys must have the worse immune system if you can't even eat a piece of fruit without having to wash it!

I eat pretty much everything without washing it, what's the point of having an immune system if it's got nothing to do!

What's a cotton wall:confused::D

Al;)

No. Considering all the harmful rubbish we breathe in each day then a little bit of stray pesticide never killed anyone!

yeah but what about all the minimum wage food workers who've gone to the bathroom then come back without washing their hands.
