What do you feed a baby pigeon? :/

We had one in our garden, we didn't know what to do with it. It was exactly like the one in that picture, it wasn't intimidated by me either when I put my hand 2" away from it. Thought its mother would've came back to it?? :p

We left it for a bit and unfortunately a few hours later, there was nothing but a patch of feathers over our lawn - looked like a fox took it... we left nature to it.... :(

Now tell us the truth of how you impaled it on a plastic male appendage & danced around it nekkid screaming Catch the pigeon Catch the Pigeon. :D

Collared dove. Standard bird food works fine for them. Chopped up fruit is also good, but raisins are probably the best (as a supplement to their food).

I once rescued one, and it became really friendly. It particularly liked being scratched on the top of its head. I tried to release it, but it wouldn't fly and eventually died despite my efforts. :(

At first, I thought "Thread has failed", as I expected a punchline in the OP leading from the title.

However, the responses have diverted to the State of Win.

Carry on.....

My mum once took in a pidgeon and fed it for a few days.

I was younger at the time and didn't think too much of it. When I came home from school one day she had eaten the pidgeon. :/
