bought a mk4 Golf - problems...

It's a 1999 1.8, 74,000 miles, and it's got uneven tyre wear on the offside front tyre. The innermost part is almost bald, the out has lots of tred. I've had the tracking checked and it's fine. I looked at the spare tyre and it has exactly the same wear profile. Anyone know what the problem could be?

Also the two rear wheels have locking wheel nuts but there's no removal key, so I cant get them off! one is badly damaged too:

take it to a garage to remove the wheels. ask them about the tire wear. i dont know golfs, but it's gotta be worn top mounts / bearings, bushes or ball joints on the wishbones.

Hmmm rear wheels have locking nuts with no key and front doesnt and the front end is wearing tyres strangely... You did HPI it before you bought it right?

getting a second hand car missing the wheel key is hardly rare.
