had my first game on this last night with the demo on xbox and came first with 400+points 
was a big 1942 player with my clan so i no that if i want points you go for the flags and dominate on the ground and let the little kiddys have the planes

I've always assumed the big points were earned by guys in planes. How people are getting 900-odd in a game, I have no idea. I can't break past 500. But my game is rather the "gung ho - CHARGE!" mentality.
Highest I've got is around the 500 mark as well.

from what i can remember, +30pts for a capture +10 if you assist capture, 10 pts for kill with +5 for saviour, revenge and defesne i think, +10 for headshot, +3 for kill assist not sure of the rest.

Kill Assist depends on the damage you contributed I think.
I've had +3 and +5 for assists.

Annoying though this doesn't count on the enemy aircraft carrier and unlike the normal maps you don't get zero points for attacking the enemy home base. Sick of playing that map now, spawn and some cheesy fool has camped out on the end of the runway and picks you off as you spawn in

It is possible to get back into a plane after you have bailed out. I did it accidently. Was on a bombing run, bailed out to avoid crashing, hit B instead of A and ended up back in the plane and smashing into the floor
No cool points sadly. Loving it so far although Im not such a fan of Iwo Jima as it seems too dark.

Just been on the PS3 to try the new map, there's no option for it on the main menu and my stats have gone

I got 1150 today
around 40 kills.. Mix of tanking and rifleman with a few air raids thrown in ...loads of capping though,

I heard on some podcast that its pretty bugged.
Just played the trial (prob getting the game on wed) and either its my old knowledge of 1942 or everyone sucks, managed to get 100points infront of the guy in 2nd place twice *shakeshead* Hopfully it was just a special trial server that I was playing in.

lol iv meeled about 10 people and it wont give me the trophy just given up on the now
No it isnt. I've been 600-700 points ahead of 2nd place and screaming at the screen what the **** is everyone doing?
I've kind of had my fill of this game now.....clocked up around 48 hours though so its been money well spent.
