Hi Im thinking about replacing my Cosmos with one of these and would like to get some opinions before i take the plunge so to speak.

I bought the Cosmos for my I7 build but the cooling is diabolical and need something better mainly because my Corsair H50 cooler vents into the case not outside like most cpu coolers....

Help....

The Haf is really ugly and doesn't have a removable mobo tray. The lian li is too small and I've looked at the cooling and not enough exhaust fans. I will lose one cos of the corsair cooler which uses the rear one as an intake.

Thanks for the temps, problem with the Haf is the 140mm exhaust fan, i have to have a 120mm fitting for my corsair h50 cooler which uses the rear exhaust port as an intake to cool its radiator, i think the twin 230mm fans on the atcs would help draw the hot air generated from the corsair out of the case. i could add an extra 120mm intake at the bottom and 2 120mm fans on the rear of the hdd cages for push pull intake to cool the interior. Also dust would not be a problem with the atcs. My current case is not coping well at all. I have reversed the airflow to accommodate this but although an improvement still not good.

ITs a very case massive and will meet any furture needs you have. It is good for air cooling and very silent. Bad points though, it is a finger print and dust magnet

I just replaced (like today) my Cosmos with a HAF 932 and it is a beautiful case, i dont know what people are talking about. The only reason i didnt buy the ATCS840 is it has better airflow IMO, and it is cheaper. You are paying the extra duckets for filters and a removable tray - which no one uses as it messes up the cable tidying.

The only reason i say that, is because i like to route my PSU cables such as the 24-pin and the 8-pin under my board, then screw the board into the standoffs. You cant really do this on a removeable tray unless you have a Modular PSU and you are pretty accurate :)

Never thought of doing that or that there was enough space for that cable arrangement. But i think i will try it next time i fiddle with my rig

my PSU cables wont fit under a motherboard thats for sure, they are too thick.

Haf 932 would be fine except for the 140mm fan as I said before. whatever I get has to have a 120mm fan fitting at the back for my cooler. I think the ATCS is a good compromise, as long as the airflow is considerably better than
my Cosmos.

I like the looks of the ATCS as well, the Antec 1200 doesnt have a vent at the bottom for the PSU as the CM's do either. I thought about the Cosmos S as well, but I think the ATCS is superior......

its all about reducing the ambient temp in the case, my Proc temps under load are not exceeding 80c across all cores, but the idle temps are 50c-53c and the mobo is 48c-50c, NB is 50c-55c, HDD 40c-44c which is down to ambients being high in the first place.....

You can try spacing them out with your thumb and finger. Also, try buying higher mm brass standoffs which should give you greater room to manouvre. Its a great way to keep those horrible 24-pin PSU cables hidden.

I wouldnt buy a Cosmos if you want better cooling, i went from an Antec 900 to a Cosmos and my temps went up around 4-5oC.

My temps are around 8-9oC down now im in a HAF932 not a Cosmos, and its a heck of a lot quieter.
