Big Cat caught on Video by PC

Ok to my inexpert eyes after a lifetime of watching nature programs and cats in my area I am personally of the opinion that what we are seeing is nothing other than an unusually large (for whatever breed it is) house/stray cat. Go youtube any panther/jaguar video and you will see that not only do they look different and much more muscular, even when young, but the way they walk is different, the travel of the shoulders is greater and they sway side to side when walking. The cat in the fid is dong the standard "normal" cat tap-tap-tappety-tap (slightly unscientific term) when he goes near and onto the tracks.

I think some people need to go to a zoo at some point and see the difference between a domestic cat and a proper big cat.

Jesus Christ it's a lion!

Get in the car!

Fixed for lulfactor.

I say its a big cat but not a proper big cat.

The officer had just ran to a rail bridge and started filming so is probs out of breath

If the tracks are 4 ft apart you can see that the stride of the cat is easily enough to cover that distance, never mind the head and the tail length.

It's movement looked more domestic and more like a regular cat, than a 'big cat'

I'd would still say though that it was a 'big cat' (but maybe it's a kitten or something)

In other news I have twice seen 'big cats' once, in 1994 and again in maybe 2002 or so. I was with family and was most definately a big cat. Easily the size of a labrador, with a massive tail, and 'prowling'. the second time it was on the hills behind my house, a couple of hundred metres or so away.

I would like to know where there animals have come from , what they are and how they can seemingly remain 'unidentified' for so long, and why no body ever seems to find the dead bodies of these beasts.

Probably because they aren't real

Seriously (ish) though, has there every been any conclusive footage? Maybe set up a camera next to one of those measuring sticks you get by rivers to measure flood hights

Well the area of gravel between the railtrack and the grass verge is known as "the six-foot", because it is 6ft wide aparently. That makes this car quite long although it's girth doesn't seem to reflect this with regards to the big cats you see in your head.

All I know is, want to hug it and squeeze it.

I love kittens I love kitties, squeeze them into itty bittys!

it's a cat a sleeper is what, about 5 foot long. So that cats about 2/3foot long. It.s certainly not large enough to stride across the entire 4 ft
