Well the fact that she is of a different nationality is neither here nor there as it shows this is an incident that can occur anywhere regardless of country which is why its annoying when people complain about Britain bending over backwards and how we're so uniquely 'weak'.
Secondly, I don't see how the foreign country part makes a difference because a Mosque in Britain shouldn't be treated any different to a Mosque in, say, Saudi Arabia.
Thirdly, Lol at your subjugating remark. OH NOES A HEADSCARF!!!
Yeh sort of mate...it does remove the temptation that a man might or may feel towards a woman if say her hair wasnt covered...whereas if the hair is covered you dont know what the womans hair is like.
Just imagine that in Islam the roles were completely reversed so everything the men have to do the women do and vis versa.
Would you like it?
Answer truthfully please
Men == Women
Therefore if women = head scarfs then men = headscarfs
If not, then surely this is sexism?
Before anyone points out that skirts and dresses != men, I'd image you can google some examples of men wearing skirts etc.
Obviously we all know woman are treated very differently than men in Islam, I remember a temp islamic young woman at work that wasn't allowed to talk to any men, was brought to work by family and picked up by family, wasn't allowed to go out alone and was prolly already decided who she was forced to marry.Men == Women

The headscarf is to give the cheap psychology ploy of basically "protecting" woman by belittling them.
The idea of a law enforcement officer of a particular gender being pressured (yes, pressure WILL come, as these developments change the norm) contravenes what people have been working towards for a long long time.
Would just like to second this.Secondly, I don't see how the foreign country part makes a difference because a Mosque in Britain shouldn't be treated any different to a Mosque in, say, Saudi Arabia.
Well, until men can become pregnant then it's not going to happen to the extent that you'd like
Though then again............there was this man that married a 6yr old....
PMSL had a feeling someone would bring that up...yeh there was sadly you dont know enough about it to actually make a reasoned arguement on it....funnily enough quite a few priests have been fiddling with kids...go figure eh??...
I know that muslims are offended by female police officers not wearing that scarf, but what if the male police officer is gay and has to enter the mosque to arrest suicide bombers ?
Would they be allowed in ?
Would the police have to inform muslim leaders of gay cops ?

it will only help to make the muslim community work better with the police with regards to terrorism and other crimes

While the islamic men are free to do anything they like and if the woman complains are free to give her a few slaps.
The more you try to understand islam the more you find out how strange and different it is.
That is it, pure and simple. If you're a muslim woman, Wear a headscarf. If you're not, You should not have to.
Well if a non-muslim woman wants to visit a mosque then I can understand if they would require her to wear a headscalf. So why on earth none muslim women would chose to wear something of Islamic faith when visiting a mosque just seems bizarre.
