I understand this comes out tomorrow (July 28th) and there is box art on news websites like kotaku which stated that the all fronts collection would be available for purchase in stores (like a physical box) but it would have a download code in it.

Can anyone confirm this? I cant find any preorders on any websites for the collection, but there was box art released :confused: Is this coming out at a much later date?

Id much rather own a physical box that I can put on my shelf rather than download it all from the marketplace. Anyone else agree? :p

It helps stop piracy doing it their way.

I like them doing DLC this way though as it allows for competition on pricing.

It was meant to have a retail release, but for what ever reason they decided not to go ahead with it. So it wouldn't surprise me if they release a box but just a dl code. Don't see the point really, just get some points and download it that way, so much easier and less hassle tbh.
 
I agree, I just like having the box on my shelf and would much rather pay for something "physical" - so are you just guessing that they're pulling the retail version or did you read it somewhere?

Oh and I forgot to mention its a whole lot cheaper buying the boxed version as it includes all of the DLC maps for practically the same price you're paying JUST for the new chapter on XBL.

This is now available. 1200 ms points for just the new deleted scene and the new map pack or 1600 for the deleted scene, new map pack and all previous map packs :)

Also its a WEEK of DOUBLE XP on the new map pack and Hoarde!
 
Nah, I prefer physical media too but this is one thing that I think is literally worthless. You just get an empty box. May as well download it directly - you can't do anything with the box afterwards either because its been used up.
 
Yeah if you can get them on offer it is much better, £30 for 6300 is a steal.

I managed to get 4200 (2 x 2100) at a sale for 2 for £25 which was pretty good, but alas they have all been used up!

Think I have about 600 spare now, save those towards Shadow Complex later in the year :D
 
Think yourself lucky mate, my friend in Spain lives on top of a mountain. His internet is provided by some radio solution, he's been trying to download the pack since yesterday afternoon. Keeps dropping out at 70-80% lol.
 
I've got this.New campaign is a bit rubbish.The new maps are great though.
Shame they aint sorted the lag out as I played last night and it was shocking:mad:

Just run to the right down some stairs, and head underneath the bridge :)


I was a bit disappointed with the SP content as well, on anything but Hardcore it is ridiculously easy. Also it was very short compared to other chapters, I'm surprised they cut it from the shipped game tbh as it can't have taken long to map.

Should have been an extra Act instead of a chapter, that would have been awesome.

Still, it is good value for money for all the map packs if nothing else.
