Youre definately best uninstalling, it prevents any conflicts
uninstall then reboot into safe mode and run driversweeper to clear out last remnants, then install new card then new drivers
If you dont chances are you'll only be back complaining about something not working properly, spend 5 minutes now it will prob save your hours of hassle later
Hmm, I'm not so sure about this link. The page is two years old and never once mentions drivers!ATI themselves even say you should uninstall, generally a good idea to do as the card manufacturer says, ATI link
sry but youre getting given poor advice, you really should uninstall, the number of people on these forums whove had problems because theyve skipped this step Im suprised at some of the people on here recomending you to skip it, ATI themselves even say you should uninstall, generally a good idea to do as the card manufacturer says, ATI link
OK a more recent version, link, specifically referring to drivers rather than software (as clearly drivers musnt be software???)
A Quote for you though Before installing the latest Catalyst drivers, any previous drivers must be uninstalled
Its good that some of you have had no issues, but surely youve seen the many posts on here of people having had issues? I dont see why you wouldnt take the safest course of action, its not exactly difficult
Uninstall any legacy ATI or other display drivers
other display drivers = nvidia drivers, on board gpu driverand I could equally put the OR OTHER DISPLAY DRIVERS in bold, well done
