Hi,

I just wanted to get an idea of the most popular MP3 player used by members of the forums e.g. Winamp, Foobar200 etc..

I've used Winamp in the past and just wonered if anything has come out since I last used it that would be worth considering?

Thanks & Regards,

Andrew

I think we should have a poll.

iTunes. I don't understand the problem with it really. It makes ripping/organising as simple as can be and it syncs straight to my iPod. Any reasons why Winamp is better?

iTunes for me as well. Didn't think that many people would be using this, as all i seem to hear is how bad iTunes is. I've never had a problem with it.

Just never got into it. Have been a Winamp user for years and ever since I've been able to sync my iPod from Winamp I've no need for iTunes. I do occasionally try iTunes out, every new major release or so, but I just can't get away from Winamp.

Winamp with DFX plugin (a must have)
This DFX, is it free?

iTunes. It's definitely far from perfect, but it syncs with my iPhone, has pretty graphics and as a music manager it's actually not too bad, although you need a decent system to run it well on Windows.

Used to use DFX, but if you have half-decent speakers and your files aren't 128kbps it just makes things sound artificial.

Foobar does everything you want from an media player and can be setup exactly how you want it.

foobar2000, have done for years. its pretty much close to complete now - folder watching, proper wasapi audio output , built in a/b/x testing, totally customisable ect.

There isnt any program that does it all quite so well as foobar :)
