BMW - Replacement Model Badge

You'll actually know if such old BMWs should have an M badge or not as they were easily set apart from the standard models :p But how many of those do you see about today? most of them have been thrashed into the ground and look like turd :p

See loads of replica E36 M3's driven by the local chavs lol, well i use the term replica lightly ;)

How dare you, my e36 looks well like an M3.

They may well have been a factory option, but they still look gash.

I dont think it should though if i remember correctly :p

Nothing on Fox's car is not available as an OEM option. Its like hes got hold of an options list and is working his way down ticking all the boxes.

Bottom line, a lot of BMWs have M badges all over them, factory fit.

But many other people like it because it's cleaner and looks nicer on a modern car...apples and horses.

Also make sure you get a hold of TIS and look up the exact distance the badge must be from the bootlid, otherwise it will look out of place.

fox DID add the ///M badge himself, but it was a factory option to have it there in the first place. Still looks pants though :p

ONLY a proper ///M car however has an M badge on the boot lid. All others were put on by their owners.

Please explain the E30 325i Sport and E28 M535i. Thanks.

M is not M3 or M5. It is inferior and lesser than the proper M cars. Do not confuse M with M3.

Your average 320d M Sport these days rolls off the production line with no less than 10 'M' logos in various places around the car. Doesn't stop the 'omg its a fake m3 zomgz' brigade, though. It has always been this way - in the 90's Sport models were badged M externally on the bodywork as well - and infact regular Sport models with M branding predate the proper M cars themselves with the exception of the M1.

I hate debaged BMWs...all it means is you have a crap engine and a crap spec and are trying to cover it up.

:( do you have to bring up that i drive an SE, do need to get rid of those union jacks mind

personally dont mind the debadged look, suits the cars

Anaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaal.

Why don't BMW just keep the whole ///M badging for actual M cars and have some other indication of a trim level. Why so complicated!
