I thought id sort my case out tonight and reapply some new Arctic Cooling MX-2 Thermal Compound as i was using some generic stuff supplied with the motherbaord. I bought some cable ties to sort my cabling issues out and heres how it performs now.

I took everything out and dusted my case completely.

Well i moved all wires so nothing obtructed any fans within the case, i cable tied everything together tightly and moved all wires around the back of the case. Any small fan wires were run underneath the motherbaord and out of sight.

I put a rice sized drop of paste on the cantre of the CPU and spread it by turning the heat sink on the cpu untill it spread it evenly. Then just rigged it all up and hey presto.

Although it did take me like 4 hours!

Your e8400 still looks a little bit warm on idle since i run mine passive with a thermalright ultima 90 cooler and teps don't go above 38.

Wow, thats pretty cool for 1.328 if you can passivly cool it at idel, my old e8400 loved to burn the watts, be intersting to see how high that cpu would go with water and more volts

Great temps for that voltage. sofar I'm at 3.6Ghz on my E8400 C0 with 1.12v going through it. Plan to try for 4 but I've ordered some mx2 and a couple more fans for me antec 300 as atm its sitting at 42c idle but only 60c intel burn test. Thnk my Freezer 7 needs reseating as I've never been happy with it :o
