I'd run off if there was a chance and hide round the corner the first chance I got, If I happened to be carrying a heavy suitcase I'd use it like Delboy does in Only Fools and Horses. "oopsie daisy" :D

In all seriousness, it's very easy to say what you would do when faced with this question here. Even now, I'd still say I would probably either run, or, given that the attacker is much smaller than me, try and fight my way out of the situation. But then I would say that; Im sitting here comfortably in front of the PC, calm and thinking about how I'd deal with the problem.

If it actually happened to me though, Im sure the outcome would be different; I might panic, or be slow to react because the attack comes as a surprise. I don't have the luxury of being able to plan my reaction. It's really hard to say what I'd do, because I simply wouldnt know until it happened.
 
I think basing it on height is a bit stupid, if you're talking proper dwarf then perhaps I'd try and fight him or run off depending on how close he was with the knife. However if you're talking 5,5 ish then sure you've got weedy guys that height but there's obviously those that are huge at that height also. I imagine i'd hand over my wallet in the situation unless I can see myself getting out of it easy enough and im not risking anyone elses life

I never carry cash, I have a back-up debit card at home, and I can cancel the oystercard pretty quickly and get a new one.

I'd be more annoyed about losing my phone, but insurance ahoy!
 
I would ask him if he had small man syndrome. Always angry cos he is a midget. If I wasn't stabbed by this point I could maybe ask if he wore lifts inside his shoes or had a booster seat in his armchair.

I think it's very hard to say what you'd actually do. I had a friend who was a recently licensed door supervisor, 6ft something and just as wide. Whilst working a door one of his first evenings he stopped a couple of guys coming into the club as they were too drunk. One of them pulled what looks on the CCTV like a stanley knife and the guy went to pieces - the 2 drunks guys just laughed and walked away.

On the other hand I've seen a guy who looks like he wouldn't say boo to a goose go all all Chuck Norris on 3 guys much larger then him and walk away.

Adrenaline affects people in different ways, I've seen people pass out and even throwing up because and if you are not used to being in a situation and dealing with excess adrenaline you can't really say what you'd do.

I know that in this kinda of situation I'd hopefully look for a way out and leg it, or if that's not an option, hand over the wallet - last thing I want is to be stabbed for no money and a few close to being maxxed out credit cards!

There's a difference between risking your life to protect your country and loved ones and risking your life for the sake of a tenner.
 
I dont know, it would depend on how much money I had on me and why I had it. My state of mind at the time would guild my actions. If I was in good form and not on edge at the time I would just hand it over. If I was in my normal not so good form, tell him where to go and have a go at him if he didn't. If in bad form he had better be good with that knife. Saying that I have never been mugged or anything like that but would fight with my own shadow given half a chances. I guess I dont look like a soft touch(which I am if left to my own devices).
 
Give him the wallet, run and chase him and clip his heels and beat him up n take it back? :D Assuming that u can run.. :o
