Just noticed today that they're building an Infiniti dealership just off the A33 in Reading. I knew they were planning on entering the UK market but didn't know it was to be so soon. Not seen one on the road yet.

Interesting.
I don't think much of the model range they have featured on the UK site. Looks like a cabrio, coupe and saloon of 3-series size. Plus a couple of soft roaders.

There was an article in TopGear magazine about a year ago detailing Infiniti's emergence in the UKDM so it comes to no suprise they are springing up the odd showroom here and there. Love the look of their SUV's and the Skyline they do - although shame about the pig ugly face.

Edt:
Also just remembered whilst reading the article the most interesting thing was that Infiniti are going to be making "substantial interior refinements" for us euro's as they know how anal we are about soft touch plastics and robust feeling buttons :p anyway it did sounds like they wanted to do a proper job of things.

Love Infiniti's...see a lot of them over in Canada and America and they are lovely cars...in fact a couple of weeks ago i hired out an Infiniti G37 when i was in Dallas on business...awesome cars and really look the part imho...plus it had some grunt in it.

Had a look and at £30k its not too bad a price point..but i would imagine thats just the basic model i would think....i like the FX model though as a SUV.

nissan is trying to do with infinity what toyota have managed to do over here with lexus - make a well regarded premium brand.

i think they're really nice
we rented a G35 the other year in california and i was really impressed. looked much nicer than a lexus and the engine was rather nice too. a soft 350z with 4 doors :p

i think their range is pretty good. they're very capable cars

it's about time they started up in europe. they've been going for 20 years but i guess now they've actually got a range that's worth trying in Europe. before all they had were tarted up maximas and QXs

oh, and fyi, infiniti has been around since 1989 ;)

who here said they hadnt been

the talk so far has been of them "comming to the uk"

and i said that they were trying to do over here what toyota have done, as nissan currently dont have a premium brand in this country.

But obviously they do in the states with the infinity brand.
