just a though, other forums have rolling day days - which we do. Similarly - other forums have meets - which we do

but quite a few other forums have dragstrip days at santapod run what ya brung days, similarly with shakespere raceway.

why havent we ever done anything like this ?

Given that we all appear far too fed up to turn up to another RR day, would it be better to do something different and have a dragstrip day ?
 
who cares. at R W Y B days you race against the clock, not each other

the timer doesnt start till you cross the beam. So could quite easily compete against each other, even if we couldnt compete with what lined up next to us.
 
YAH lets have a OcUK banger drag meet. I'll bring the van. So be afraid. In fact, FEAR my 1.9 litres of non-turbocharged diesel awesomeness. :D
 
who said you have to drop the clutch ? in a front wheel drive car you'll actually get a better time by NOT dumping the clutch, otherwise you'll just bog down with wheelspin.

plus you'd only do 2 or 3 runs. No more than we do pulling away from junctions at meets.

Don't hold your breath. Some people will still point blank refuse to swallow it.

I agree on the fact petrol is the purest juice, but diesel gets the same job done, just in a different way.

£300 for a remap - a trackday would speed up my decision to get the car brainwasher in to weave his magic.
 
Having a 330i or 530i around would be great - if mine got remapped to 230bhp that's a perfect comparison - 230bhp D vs 230bhp P on the track - perfect!
