x1950xt. obviously ati don't do them but i'm wondering if anybody knows of any modded drivers i could use? using the rc7100 x64.

already that with no joy. even extracting the files and trying to update using device manager to browse to the inf files didn't work. :(

edit: i just tried again using the "proper" administrator account and they appear to have installed ok. i'll have a quick blast on some old games and see how i get on. :)

I have slave X1650XT card powering two 17" monitors running on Windows 7 (rc7100) 64 bit ... the drivers were in the archive section and it's a big bundle!

that would be the link above. i see they bundle the 32/64 bit drivers all into one package. no matter, i had o2 20mb installed today. :D

anyway, i got those drivers working using the real admin account as i mentioned in my edit to my previous post. using the "run as administrator" with the account that got created during windows setup obviosuly wasn't good enough. :p

As an experiment I installed win7 on a Shuttle SN41G2 and a few spare bits'n'pieces (old HDD & CDROM etc) that were left over after a recent series of updates. Initially came up with the default VGA 800x600 display as win7 doesn't know about its ancient (geforce 4mx or something like that) gfx support.

After a bit of googling I got some tips that said that unpacking an nvidia driver set from a couple of years or so back then manually pointing the install hardware driver at this + ignoring any warnings on drivers not be certified should work. Tried it and it did .... n.b. I've not done anything remotely 3-d or game-ish with this as basically just wanted to be able to get desktop at 1,366x768 on an LCD TV to have a play!
