Wow, nostalgia-athon.

I have circled the ones I owned as a kid. Thanks for posting this topic! So many memories:

Edit: I also had one of those helicopters with the two rotors as well.

All the Star Trek ones have little stands too

I love the Army set, although they are slightly bigger than 'original' MM's. See the bottom left corner, you can see a Spitfire, a jet below it; and also a harrier in the middle.

Why the difference?

i loved micro machines, and those die cast planes you speak of Tauren, we used to go to Manchester airport in terminal 1 when there was only one terminal, and there was a shop that sold hundreds of model planes, i had a red arrow and all sorts :D

Also, can anyone remember John Menzies, it was like woolworths / WHSmith, they used to have these wind up dinosaur toys and every time we went to my nans, she bought us one, can't remember what they were called.

Ohhh, and don't even get me started on stickle bricks :p

aye, i used to go to the newsagents with my gran and get one everytime we went there :D got all sorts of different planes. didn't have any russian ones for some reason.

anyone else remember the penguin racer? that thing was awesome.

How many hours of my life were spent on the Megadrive version of micromachines. The J-Cart with 2 extra controller ports...that was a wonderful idea. Awesome, awesome game.

I've still got mine in a cupboard. The great thing about micro machines are that they are small and take up no space!

I had/have the tool box, and some of the little square bits and lots and lots of cars. I also had little oil cans that opened out into mini garages!
