here it is walking on top of the rail and as such you can get a perspective of siize, it is no way a big cat.

No wonder there's 'Big Cat' sightings in the UK when quite a few here can watch that video and think it's a Big Cat...Have you people never seen a Cat before or been to a Zoo?

I've always thought it was quite mysterious the various UK 'Big Cat' sightings, but this thread really does explain the mystery to me and quite clearly too. There are no 'Big Cats' wandering around our Country, just lots of people who see normal Cats and think they're big.
Normal cats tend not to eat sheep like they do round here.

This is the Cat image Jono8 posted, I've inverted it horizontally as the perspective on the Rail was opposite to the perspective in the Video, resized the image matching the Tracks as best as possible and then pasted it into a screengrab of the 'Big Cat' Video.

It's a normal sized domestic Cat.

Obviously the perspective of that image is different

You're saying that house cat is 1.4 metres long? Because in that shop the regular cat is longer than the gap between the tracks. Yes, the two cats are a similar size in that pic but they would both be huge.

they aren't massive as you said under 5foot. You also lose a good part of that due to the height of the rail. When looking at it in that direction.

And if you look at the other pic I posted when it's walking on top of the rail head and so easier to scale. It is not that big at all.

If you look at all the pictures of normal sized cats in this thread you will see they are only about the length of the gap between two sleepers.

Now watch that video again, especially when its walking along the track. The cat in the video is as long as at least 3-4 sleepers :)
