Back in England, what did I miss?

What service, all you do is pick the food up and pay for it . They have so much more though, Stuff like Hooters, Pizza hut ( never seen one here), White Castle, waffle house, etc...
Most American cars are win, far nicer than European cars. Pretty much on every picture I see in the US there's not one car I dislike the look of on it. Saloons are nice n big. There's lots of nice SUV's and Pickups and there are barely any rubbish Hatchbacks or other Euro mobiles.
Cheap nasty and tacky ? Explain...

Hooters My favourite place. Go in the south (Charlotte NC is nice). White castle is crap, McDs type food but you wait for ages. Most fast food is a lot slower than in Europe (normally you get a receipt with a number and have to go back to collect food). Taco bell is just pants but there are loads of good independent mexican places that are dirt cheap.

US cars seem to be all Prius, Camrys and accords, SUVs and Pickups are overweight unefficent and slow (i averaged 10mpg from a F150, it was a 4.6 V8 and dog slow). Had a landcruiser V6 and it wasn't much better.

Cheap and tacky is just they don't do quality the same as back home, as you said its bigger but for example they use that horrible "yellow" gold for fittings in posh hotels.

I love Carmy's ( hate the fact they're so rare here) and Accords, prius meh can live with it, rather have a bunch of priusses driving around than a bunch of micra's/smarts/polo's/lupo's/aygo's/c1's/c2's/saxo's/206's/A classes/swifts/cuore's/matiz's/alto's/twingo's/ka's/fiesta's/corsa's/clio's/fabia's, etc driving around like here. And you've got nice cars like Lincoln's, Buick's, different Fords, Cadillacs, etc there.

But the pickups look nice, you can throw a lot in the back and they sound much nicer . Stuff like the likes of GMC just make an awesome noise and at least look nice.

Terrible heap of junk.

The pickups suck as well. Huge and handle like yachts.

Seriously, I'm going to say this constantly for the next 10 years but Australia is America without the annoying bits. Instead of stupid F450 pickups they've got Ute's instead - half sports saloon, half pickup

I had a Camry Hybrid last week and thought it was nice, much better than the Pontiac and Impala I had before. Ride was nice interior was ok it was very quiet and had the normal toys you expect on a non luxury car.

The Cadillac DTS is an excellent cruiser, nice unstressed v8 with wallowy yank suspension. Can't handle for toffee but suits American roads very well and had loads of toys.

My wife's American - I love it over there, but I also like good old Blighty too, luckily we get the best of both worlds.
Taco Bell alone is worth moving for tbh. The only thing I don't really like about America is the health care system.

Maybe its a different car? I hated the one I drove. It was a Toyota Camry Sportivo. Its only saving grace is that it wasn't a bad looker.

England got some really nice countryside, weather which isn't extreme, no tornados / earthquakes other bs, not to dangerous place, lots of nice beaches, pretty nice country i mean Austrlia is 20 times the size or something of uk probably more, canada is 50x, know lots of people gone to NZ and come back after a few years just don't get loads of shades of green in foreign places, great food like branston pickle which makes UK great.

flew back from a month in heaven (NZ ), dipped below the clouds to see mother england again in all its glory... ******* it down as usual.

10 minutes at heathrow and i'm already been insulted by some rude asian dude for kicks, shoved past a million times and had my luggage damaged. brilliant. gotta love england right?

sure it has its good bits (and this coming from someone living in arguably one of the nicest locations, cornwall), but regardless the weather is pants, seems we only have one long season these days, don't feel safe on the streets, full of illegals and lowlife, everything taxed to high heaven and generally expensive, with a government which lost the plot years ago.

few more years here then out to NZ. IMO only one shot at life, why live it in gloomville?

I'm never depressed to go back from a holiday to here, hopefully that will change when I go to an actually nice place like the US for or to Japan, but I really don't like going either to the south or the east of Europe.

I'm actually depressed on my holidays, I miss Dutch junkfood like Frikandels or fries with mayo ( hard to get mayo with fries in many countries, or special sauce is completely impossible to get ( mayo+ketchup or curry + onions) ) and even my favorite brands & tastes of crisps, lose my appetite, can't sleep due to the dry air ( hate the land/continental climate far prefer a sea climate ) sit somewhere bored all day and miss Dutch TV... By the time I'm back home I've usually lost 2kg's ( I'm already borderline underweight) due to not having my favorite junkfoods at the ready.

Hence I want to go to the US:
Nice understandable language ( Yes, I prefer Americanized English over British English)
Good (junk)food.
Nice cars.
Bigger is better mentality.


When I went to the south of France I was bored to hell there, nothing to do but lie on the beach and/or swim. Rubbish French music on the radio ( think they have a law or something about the percentage of english/french songs), too little snack/junkfoods, absolutely terrible language ( though I know a bit of it as I was brutally forced to learn it at school for a whole 4 years ), and lack of educated people who speak English but full of cocky arrogant French. Can't ask **** anywhere in any shop or on the street without ''Je ne parle pas Anglais''. This terrible attitude starts in Wallonia in Belgium already, you know they understand Dutch&English but they are too much up their own *** to reply in Dutch but try to force you to speak French.

Yeah sorry I really dislike French language .

No you can't, they often don't have mayo and if they do, it's a very different far more sour mayo than I'm used to.

Regarding music, ever heard of portable music players?

Dry air keeping you from sleeping - missing local TV

Slept in a motel land inwards for 2 nights I couldn't sleep at all, my nose&throat was completely dry and I couldn't stand it, a wet towel on the side of my bed helped a bit though but I hate dry air. And yeah I always miss local tv when I go anywhere .

I don't really care they have plastic interiors or understeer a lot, what matters to me is they are made for long distances, they are nice and big, have nice engine soundtracks and generally look superb, especially older stuff too.
