I had a XFX 4850 XXX that replaced a HD2900XT.
It was ****. Crashed a lot. Sent it back.
Previous to the upgrade, 2900 was in the top PCI-E slot. Then the 4850 was in same slot. After sending back 4850, I placed 2900 in top slot and the POST yells out the "No VGA" beep sequence
Card works ok in the bottom slot... the replacement 4850 worked ok in top slot, then that one went back too and I got a refund, 2900 still only works in bottom slot.
Problem is, the bottom slot doesn't give enough room for the water tubing to bend properly (dont have the screws for the original cooler so stuck with the loop) which means air forms in the slight kinks and the card has started overheating.
Does anyone have any idea why the card wont work in the top slot?
Any help appreciated!!
