Just called up, said I couldn't cancel as I haven't received the text yet. He then offered to take £10 of my contract which I accepted, although I'll still probably cancel it once I receive the text.

Forgive the noob question here but if I did this would I get to keep the phone that came with the contract? If so would I have problems switching to say O2 and sticking another sim in it?

Can you still keep your same number if you break the contract? Even if you sign up with Orange again?
I want to get a smart phone but can't for 6 months, but have to keep the same number.
I think you need to go to Orange PAYG then back to a monthly contract.

So which network are people planning on going to that doesn't make minimum out of bundle call charges...
Gah I can't decide if this is worth it or not. I'm 7 months into a 24 month Dolphin 20 contract with my C905. If I cancel this and switch to O2 Simplicity will it mean when that expires I won't be able to negotiate a new handset with O2 at the end of that? This is my first contract so I have no experience of what happens at the end of a contract with regards to negotiating a new deal/handset upgrade.

if i cancel i dont have to pay for my HTC touch hd? thats like getting a free phone then i can get an O2 roaming pack. Though my contract is pritty good mmm.
