Took some tweaking, but got it stable with a decent Uncore and QPI

Nicely done. Congratualtions

UD5 I guess since that's a gigabyte program, which ram?

Load temps suggest watercooling?

UD3, Yes watercooled, Ram is Corsair XMS3

How come you got HT disabled ? I can see your cpuz is 4 cores 4 threads ? I don't understand why peoples purchase i7 920 D0 stepping processor but disabled HT (probably too scare of high temperature if HT is enabled)

But nice tweak and glad you got it stable. I try to get 4.4Ghz but it not stable yet on mine. :(

If you don't want more than 4 threads, why use it. Simple enough. What've you managed to come up with which actually loads more than 4 threads?

That's 4.2ghz done quite cheaply as well then. I'm now more impressed. What's your opinion on ram voltage over 1.65V? I have a suspicion that the limit doesn't matter as much if the processor is kept cold, but I've not seen anything written to this effect

Because for games, that use 2 cores, it uses 1 core and a HT core and runs slower.

Having to set the processor affinity everytime is a pain in the backside.

Well general consensus is that if intel say 1.65, then 1.7 is still safe. Could be wrong, but time will tell hehe

My D0 920 is at 4.2Ghz (21x200) stable (5 runs IBT, 2.5 hours Prime95) and cooled by a Noctua air cooler. Temps are high (was 93C after 2.5 hours prime), but i think i can still squeeze voltages down a bit. That's with hyperthreading on BTW.

All through BIOS so restarting after every tweak xD

Nice work mate, Ive managed to do the same!! So esay to Overclock. Im going to try for a higher clock soon. Had it to 4.4 in windows but fails IBL Linx.

got min at 4.2 for a while now, and only ran IBT for 10 pass on 1024mb. then ran LinX for 20 pass. It's been fine with my online game and running 24/7
no system is 100% stable

thanks i'll take your word on it.

i've been chasing a stable system for a while now. max ram on Linx, IBT and prme95.

Never really is stable with full ram, but always with 1gb of ram.

i'll keep tinkering, probably can lower my Vcore and still hit 4.0ghz now

IBT and linpack are ok for quick tests but i would rum prime blend for at least 8 hours before i said a system was stable

I think the more memory you test the better. I tested my e5200 @ 3.5 with 2056mb and 10 rounds of IBT. With 6gb of ram (Your build) i would test 4096mb at least...

I also test with prime for at least 12 hours :)
