Just to reiterate, my game is saying "the version of the game is not supported" when i try and sign in. I can't see any news of a patch so guess i'm shafted, paypal dispute incoming.
 
Bummer, I just played a game fine. Did you download a patch manually from somewhere? I think I did,

edit: just saw this, pretty sure I manually installed from here, using run as admin.

Make a back up of your Dark Elf folder if you have done any modding, it seems this patch 'restores' the game files and deletes things that aren't supposed to be there. Seems very dodgy to me, just been reading about it in the "Undocumented 1.0.1.6 patch features" thread. A few upset modders in there, aside from the whole, 'patch deletes data from your computer" issue.

On another note, just played a game with my human team in the UKBBL against some Orcs and luckily managed a 2-2 draw, that was whilst suffering 2 badly injured and 7 KO's and having no reserves :)

As we're missing some people now anyway we may aswell give some extra time for those who are able to play their games. T o be honest i forgot to check yesterday and just got back from a meal with my bro and his bird, after a few bottles of wine and brandys I can't really be bothered to do it now either :)

Will have a look at the state of play tommoz and see whats what.

Cliffy post on the official forums and get some advice on that. If you fix it ill be available tonight around 7:30pm? :)

Its working now, it appears there was a patch i hadnt spotted. I'm at Judo tonight but should be back about 22:10 if thats ok?

I've not been online hence no contact. For some reason I can't change my trust email (which expired a while ago) but will contact you in the coming days...

I've been playing vs easy AI and have had a bit of success. Tried Wood Elf but decided to change as I kept having deaths :(
I've been playing quite a bit with the Lizardmen and am really enjoying them :D
I'll probably get some more practice offline first then come and show my skillz (or lack of). Loving the Kroxigar and my skink with 10MP :D

However it seems as though Skaven and Dwarf are the hardest to beat: keep losing vs the Rats (mostly due to unlucky dice rolls)

Anyways I'll be in on the league come September so hopefully will have what it takes :D

After getting used to the basic gameplay, it's useful to start thinking about what order you carry out actions in your turn. Usually the least risky moves first leaving the ones most likely to fail until the end.

Moving players around, blocking with two dice, dodging, handing off the ball, passing etc.

Haven't listened to it myself yet but just stumbled across a new Blood Bowl podcast Tackle Zone radio. Looks like they may cover some tactics, strategies and gameplay help.

Can you get him to post in this thread so I know he's still about and any chance if you can get you game played with him this week?

I'm going to wait until you vs sim and Rich vs Cliff play if possible. I've just been doing a bit of pruning to the league, booting the teams who have had their keys banned and the couple of people who haven't turned up for any games. So we've all been assigned 4 or 5 draws because of that. No money of skill points from those auto assigned matches though.
 
Why have we not moved on a week?

Those that havent played should be set as drawn. Its not fair if you are extending the period for a few and not others. I missed a game as my partner went away for a week.

It's just that we're down to 9 out of the starting 14, just thought it'd be better to have more matches actually played. I'll move it on late tonight.
 
I'll drop him an email now but to be honest I've heard nothing since the first email exchange.

It's not looking too promising at the moment :/
