Batman: Arkham Asylum Demo Out August 8 (XBL/PSN)

Eidos sends word that its slick-looking new Batman game Arkham Asylum will get a demo version releasing on Xbox Live, PlayStation Network, and PC this Friday the 7th. That seems like a smart move; while everything we've seen of the game so far looks hot, you just never know about these licensed games until you actually get your hands on them. I'm certainly optimistic that Arkham is going to be cool, but it's still nice to try before you buy, no?

yeah that's what I heard. Which makes it strange that the Joker is on the 360 box art but not the PS3 :/

I can see this game getting 10/10 most places.. the gameplay videos that are floating about are prestine.. nothing to fault about them.. It's what a batman game should be; dark, grimy and slightly grungy. Can't wait.

Strange PS3 version is Teen rated and 360 version is rated as Mature. Maybe they're not the final covers?

Had this on pre order for ages, Gamesmaster magazine gave it 96% in their review so looks like this will be the best comic book made into video game ever!

Dont know whether I want to ruin the experience of downloading a demo before the actual game lands or not.....

Eidos have embargoed reviews apparently. Magazines are not allowed to mention the game before a specific date (presumably the release date) unless they score it 90%+ and feature it on the cover

Kane and Lynch all over again? I hope not.

It'll be good to try the demo.
