ATI and Standard Def Movies, Just dont play properly, i think its hardware related.

Been playing a few golden oldies on Dual layer standard defininition lately.

and im getting weird vertical lines down the screen.
anyone else noticed this with Dual Layer Standard Def Movies.

HD content is perfecto though :/
so is Freeview.

Happens with any software for viewing movies.

Power DVD 8 and 9
VLC media Player
Total Media Theatre 3

Any ATI cat drivers
Win Vista x64 or Win7 x64

tryed loads of combinations. always the vertical lines.
there so sublime aswell, you can hardly notice them but they are definitly there and when you do notice them you cant get them out of your head.

Try using Media Player Classic for seeing if there are still lines, could possibly be the DVD drive? Could you test in an other drive?

Images, so that rules out dvd drives as issues.

me too on all dvd movies, even if i rip the dvd to my hdd it still does it.

blu-ray movies are fine..

i guess it's the ati drivers because older driver i didn't get this
