Fallout 3: Mothership Zeta

It is within the confines of the Universe though as the pre DLC Fallout had a crased alien space craft in the waste (even if it was difficult to find) and this DLC is merely expanding on it. Besides, during the era that Fallout 3 was based upon there was a lot of UFO hysteria.

Ah right fair enough, I was just going by Swampyseifer's post. :)

I dont see anything special with the level design so far - Dont get me wrong it isnt bad, and i dont make comments like this lightly as I do love playing Fallout 3. It just isnt lighting any fires for me at the moment maybe I need to play it further in I guess.

Took me 11 hours to complete it. Then I realised I had the difficulty set to Hard  Still think its the best DLC :D

People are too picky/demanding and that Eurogamer review is a total joke like most of their reviews they miss the point and slate it anyway then give other crap games good reviews as like most review sites its heavily biased towards bribes & paid advertising (or lack of ).

MZ does what it needs to introduces a new setting, new weapons, new NPC's & interesting locations. There is quite a lot to do if you fully explore its at least 4-5 hours worth which is good VFM for the £7 or whatever it costs.

Like all F3 DLC (and most DLC in general) its for diehards only.

You can return after finishing the quests (last battle is very hard) from the wasteland and even use it as a base of operations and construct weapons so it also serves a useful function. I have not yet figured out if you can target the wasteland with the death ray though but there are a few hidden or hard to activate teleporters in the MZ which are not active for long so perhaps there is a way ;)

Anyone know if i can go back and find the rest of those recordings ? And any ideas how to kill those aliens with some kind of shield around them ? They seem to take an absolute age to kill.

In the same boat here.I missed 3 recordings. Some you need to start again as the early part of the level is not accessible it all depends which part of the ship. Look at this guide for helpers.

Those Aliens with shields are very hard to kill I have a lvl30 character with all the best weapons and still only the Fat Boy mini nuke takes them out in 1 shot. All other weapons are at least 3-4 shots each. Those Alien critters sure are tough

Bah dammit, the ones i need are in the locked out rooms :( Even spawning them and picking em all up didnt do the achievement. I really do hate it when theres things you cant go back to do...........

I enjoyed the level, it wasn't great but a welcome break from the wasteland.
However it is very linear, way to linear to fit in with the fallout 3 environment.
Also compared to the likes of the pitt and point lookout it was very weak and feels somewhat empty.

Well, just finished it there now and while the content was quite good the whole event was very linear and short. I would have preferred if there had been some form of choice and consequence such as choose abductee A for rescue and get ending A else get ending B or something to that effect.

Basically this is just a long quest with not much to see or do other than blast aliens (though there are some nice special effects) and, while fun, it does drags on a bit near the end. Overall I would rate it as better than Operation Anchorage but not as good as any of the other DLC available for Fallout 3.

Also, did me blasting the Death Ray at the planet have any effect because I certainly kind see any sign of it?

Can anyone tell me where to find the spacesuit? There's no marker on the map and talking to the NPCs doesn't yield any clues. If I try and proceed without it, I die.
